Title: High Voltage's Eve
Post by: Pedro on May 25, 2011, 11:47:21 AM
Mrs P and myself will be in Londinium on the Friday night - ready for the festival on Saturday and Sunday.
Last year we were able to go see Dec Burke and Black Bonzo on the Friday night.

This year The Reasoning are The Borderline, which is defintiely one option worth exploring.

So, Tinyfish, is it time for a "triumphant return to the UK" gig at The Peel on July 22nd?  :)

Noooo - I have promised Mme Cholet that we can go and see The Reasoning that night. It's part of my pennance for leaving her all weekend to go to High Voltage.

I'm sick of missing Tinyfish gigs.

If Tinyfish pay my usual rates I might wear one of their t-shirts as advertising.   ;D

I saw an advert on TV for HV the other night. They've used footage of Phil Lynott to advertise Thin Lizzy performing there. Hilarious.

I'll be giving them a miss at HV - I want to preserve my memory of Kirkcaldy Ice Rink in 1981 as one of my favourite ever gigs (even if Robbo was off being a tosser at the time and we got Snowy White instead)  :)

Maybe they'll clash with Neal Morse

I've seen Lizzy with and without Lynott and while there is absolutely no doubt which one EVERBODY would prefer to see. It just seems like a shame to me that it has to limp on like this but I understand the guys in the band see it's continuation as tribute to Lynott by keeping his music out there. I also understand that these guys have gotta eat and put a roof over their heads too.  ;)

It seems though that they have at last found a proper line-up. All reviews of the current line-up have been very favourable.

I saw them with Phil on The China Town Tour and at Reading Rock 1983 and am really looking forward to seeing them at HVF
