Title: The Lost Tinyfish Gig (The Kings Head Aylesbury 2007)
Post by: Simon on February 28, 2012, 04:57:43 PM
For some strange reason, this is the only show from all of the gigs we have done that we do not have any photos of. I know it was very early days, but if anyone out there attended the show and has some photos (however dodgy in quality), we'd be delighted to post 'em up on the site.

I thought Sarah Campbell was on photo and video duties that day.

If there are no pics, it clearly didn't happen.

Nothing Prog ever happens in Aylesbury anyway.

I only discovered you lot the following year. Or whenever that free Classic Rock CD with Motorville on it appeared.

I had the video camera, but the battery decided to run out after a couple of minutes. I don't know who was taking pictures, if anyone.

And Mouse is not quite sure if he's regretted it ever since.

I'll FB Sarah and see if she has any shots we can use (if she still has any).

Can't remember how much it cost me to go to RoSfest, Finland and Loreley, but I kept one copy of the sampler from each.

But you actually earn money, Rick. And not getting the DAN EP will haunt me forever.  :D

Well I wouldn't go so far as to say I earn it but I know what you mean. And as I put in the employed thread I know some of what you're going through.
Not fun but the top tip is to learn to live on acceptably on nothing when you are unemployed then carry on living like that whenever you can once you start getting paid. You'll soon find you have spare cash aplenty. I saw so many people get their first job out of uni and instantly start a lifestyle where they were living only just within their means, exactly as before.

Hey, don't worry. I wasn't having a pop at that again. I was just making a point of a fifty f*cking quid train ticket to see the band play a five f*cking quid gig in Leamington Spa.  :D

Ah, so it was you who was the audience.  ;) Actually that was quite a well attended show as there were a lot of punters there in readiness for the Hobble On The Cobbles Festival the following day if memory serves. I really enjoyed that gig and it was also nice to see the amazing singer/songwriter Jeanette Murphy, Gregg McKella from Paradise 9 and John Young in the crowd too.

I would recommend you contact Peter Brockwell (He's on my Facebook). He's more than likely to have been at the gig and may have some phortos.

Yes now you mention it, I think you were there. If you do have some shots lurking about, we'd be eternally grateful sir.

I can't promise anything as I have change pcs and cameras a couple of times since, and I was not good at taking backups back then.

It's on the front of UB's T-shirt:

As truly wonderful as that t-shirt (and UB) is. That shot was my proposed album cover for The Big Red Spark before Jim went and ruined it all by doing something which was actually good.

UB - if you need a good intellectual property lawyer to sue rog and/or Nellie, then I am sure I can find one.

I must say that some time ago, before I know who UB was (and indeed is), I caught sight of him at a gig at The Peel and was convinced for a moment that it was Jem.  :)
