Title: I need a Fishtank Curry...
Post by: James_H on July 09, 2012, 11:10:30 PM
Right, I'm depressed that the weekend's all over with nothing currently in the calendar for seeing you any of you lovely prople again.

Who's up for a curry?

I don't really like curry.

:)

We have found a rather pleasant more 'traditional' curry house in WC2, if the India Club doesn't find favour...

"Favour" is a stupid name for a cat. Maybe it just ran off.

We would be up for this...can we make it before the Olympics, please ?

Yes, good point - that means the last possible date would be 26th July.

Post by: A James on July 10, 2012, 07:25:15 AM
We could make the 17, 19, 23-25 at the moment.  I say 'we'...I can make those evenings, and I am presuming for my better half.

Title: Re: I need a Fishtank Curry...
Post by: James_H on July 10, 2012, 07:48:54 AM
Ha, ok - I doubt I can make it before the Olympics as I will be in India from the 17th to the 26th of July and then going to Scotland on the 27th.

Still, at least I'll get plenty of curry anyway!

I think the only night I can do is Sunday the 15th (oh, that's this Sunday.)

Nah, you don't want to be eating those fake Indian curries.

Bugger. Because of the nature of my dayjob, I'm just not going to be available until August as we're having to clear the decks in rediness for the potential travel distruption that the Olympics might bring.

That said, fill your boots ladies and gents. I'm sure you'll have a brilliant time anyway.  ;D

Well, I don't think I'm available before August either (apart from this Sunday - which seems too soon, I don't miss you all that much.)

You were dancing around as soon as I'd walked out the door, weren't you?  :P ;D

I'll be up for one, especially around early August. I'll be in a celebrating mood around then.

I'd really like to attend a Fishtank curry but could we do it later in the year and not on a Sunday as it's a nightmare to get to London on Sunday and even more of nightmare to get back.

Thank you.

Let's start narrowing it down - are weekends or weekdays easier for people? Does anyone have any dates to avoid (gigs, parents, rains of frogs etc)?

Well...

Weekends are probably better for most folks (not Sunday, Bert said...)

Dates to avoid -

2nd September - NoMan
8th September - Magenta
16th September - Marillion
21st September - Flying Colors
24th September - Flower Kings
29th September - My sister's birthday....  ;D
5th/6th/7th October - Sweden

I got a very clear picture of the effect we've all had on RobH at Cambridge.

At one point in the Mostly Autumn set (which did very little for me except to marvel at Bryan Josh's Chris Rea/ Alan Moore impression) Rob turned to me and said "We've heard their best three songs. We might as well go."

You could get a ferry from Hull.

Why don't you all come to Hull for a curry? There is a restaurant here called Curry. I'm not sure, but it might serve Indian cuisine.

I thought it was an alternative title for Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City novels....
