I don't watch this show (Britains Got Talent), but someone sent me a link today and said WATCH THIS.........

Before you watch it, and please watch it ALL, This is an exerpt from the press about Susan Boyle, age 47.......

She told how as a youngster she was ruthlessly mocked by other kids because being starved of oxygen at birth left her with learning difficulties.
Her ordeal saw her seek comfort in singing.

Spinster Susan - who has never had a boyfriend - said: "I was born with a disability and that made me a target for bullies. I was called names because of my fuzzy hair and because I struggled in class.

"I told the teachers, but because it was more verbal than physical I could never prove anything. But words often hurt more than cuts and bruises and the scars are still there."

There are many cynics out there, and I suppose from time to time we can all be included in that, I know so many people who poo-poo this kind of show, but if this show ever had any purpose, or credibility, surely this film shows you exactly what that is. I must confess to weeping watching this, it's simply astounding!

Good Luck Susan! I know I'll be rooting for you!

I was having a blue day, but THIS really made me HAPPY!  Grin

Oh no, gone are the days of Learjets, fur coats and a wide selection of leather posing pouches.

WELL REALLY! What is the BLOODY point then?    30 years and you wont catch the Pendies giving up their leather posing pouches quite so easily!  Tongue

(notice how I neatly side stepped the whole Mick Hucknell thing? My name's Wilcey, and I DO NOT have a death wish!  Wink )

Thanks chaps,

She's pretty sick, bless her, and due to those clever number crunchers at NICE the drug that could have helped her live/die with dignity has been deemed cost ineffective Angry , so she has thrown herself at the mercy of a lovely proffessor chappie who is trying her with a trial drug, so she is taking a form of therapy previously untested on humans, but her and the 5 others in her situation (world wide) who are taking this trial will hopefully see some benefits and help future people.

My cold is better, but I still feel pretty shitty about not being able to be with her, but you're right it would be far worse for her to get a bug right now.
We've been under SO much pressure with work and stress I've not seen much of her recently, but after MegaDaze I hope to get up there for a day or 2  Grin

My sister is with her though, and has taken her lappie with a nice shiny mobile modem to stay...(Mum still thinks the internet is magic!)
Any chance y'all can click her link it'd be great for her to see her YouTube views go up to over 1,000!  Wink   she was still well when we took the trip, and I am SO glad we did it, a VERY HAPPY time for us all.  you can turn the sound off, you don't even need to watch it, give it a click though and it'll give her a boost!  Cheesy

Thanks all

This made me blue today.....

I am sorry to have to say that MOONFEST has been cancelled.
I just received a phone call from Moonfest HQ, due to some local concerns about Pete Doherty being on the bill & attracting "the wrong sort" of punter and causing a public disorder problem. The Festival organisers spent a long day in court, offering to cut Pete Doherty from the bill, but the judge ruled that as it had been advertised for some time that the problem would still exist. So their licence for the festival was revoked.

Festival in it's entirity cancelled.

Sad, sad news.

I am sure if any of you have purchased tix you will hear from the event organisers shortly.

 Cry Cry Cry

I was looking forward to that bit of fun!  Embarrassed

Still hoping, but kids are too young to get in, too old to be left alone (no telling WHAT they'd get up to  Roll Eyes ) and way too old for a baby sitter............ it's a bummer, but it's why we don't get over there very often.

I'll keep trying to work something out................. Grin

oooh! Poor you! I hope it's not your drinking arm, you'll need that working for Saturday night!  Tongue

(I am still chasing my tail working out how I can get there on Saturday, I know Mr B. plans to come along, but unless I can get someone to take the teens off my hands, I'll have to stay home  Angry  )

I'll keep you posted!

ha ha ha! His name is actually Rod Crisp, he's in 'related' cos it was added by Jools (old Pendie member) who subscribes to my videos! (and called "Ron" instead of  "Rod" cos Jools is dyslexic!!!)

Rod Crisp even plays on Pure........... and bloody good he is too!  Tongue
