I took Sara to the Peel when she was a few months short of 16. The biggest problem with that venue for children is that the door from the side bar to the ladies' bar is sometimes left open.

As far as The Peel is concerned they do allow 16+ with I.D. It used to allow younger at the landlords discretion. Unfortunately when the new license came through it stated 16+. The Hippodrome can allow 14+ but as already stated at a cost in Security which would kill me,and they'd close all bars downstairs which is a right pain.
Thing is us lot are a pretty civilised lot, brought up to respect other people. Some of the younger ones now are just plain animals who care for nothing but themselves. That's why it's all a bit Draconian. They've brought it on themselves though.
Notice I said some and not all. I feel so sorry for the kids they are missing out on so, so much. All because of a bunch of (place relevant expletive here)

Very annoyed to see that Ed Kowalczyk has announced a date in Holland on the 7th. What do I do now?

Annoyingly, 2pm for the doors opening[1] is on the cusp of 'do I drive home or find a place to stay the night'. Money-wise petrol vs B&B are similar and I would be back out onto the road not long after waking up on Sunday morning. I think that whether the other half wants to come for Tinyfish or whether she is put off the Sunday by the fact that it's not just Tinyfish will be the crucial factor. There's no way she would come for the Saturday.

[1] Insert joke about expecting them higher up the bill even if Jim is still dead.
