It's the evening of the 5th - Reyes in Spain is the 6th because the Kings arrived with their gifts on twelfth night.

Threshold have Kingcrow supporting them for some of the other shows on the tour. I was quite excited until I read the details and saw that they weren't with Threshold for the UK show. They were really good supporting Redemption and their latest album, Phlegethon, is really good in a Pain Of Salvation, Heavier Porky Tree kinda way. I told Huw about them at SE as a potential for Fused.

Kingcrow are topper - I played that last album to death when it was released. More heavy prog that isn't a load of arse...

I fancy that Mr So and So gig and possibly the instrumental Twelfth Night one.

Have to be a bit pickier next year as the big push to move to Wales is going to happen.

Yeah the Mr So & So gig is probably the one I'll plump for.

If I'm in the area, I'd love to be at the Mr So And So show.

I will definitely be at the Mr So + So gig - the last couple of times I have seen them live have really brought their music home to me.

Not actually a HOP show (obviously) but Dodgy last night were excellent.  I only really knew their hits but Dame is/was a big fan.  Before their success they were the resident band of a Kingston place and you can tell when a band is used to doing this size venue.  They were full of banter and jokes and seemed to be really enjoying themselves.  They performed most of their new album which is to be released at some point, then they had a 15 min break and returned to do 5 or 6 oldies including the two I knew.  I think the newer stuff sounded better if perhaps not as bouncy.  The hi-light of the evening for me was their impression of Oasis.  It was so incredibly funny.  Fishermans Pie was the 'song'.  Apparently they won't be releasing it  Grin

They are playing some place called Barries on Tuesday week, I would recommend it as a very fun show. I cannot guarantee they will sing 'Fishermans Pie' again though.
