Not actually a HOP show (obviously) but Dodgy last night were excellent.  I only really knew their hits but Dame is/was a big fan.  Before their success they were the resident band of a Kingston place and you can tell when a band is used to doing this size venue.  They were full of banter and jokes and seemed to be really enjoying themselves.  They performed most of their new album which is to be released at some point, then they had a 15 min break and returned to do 5 or 6 oldies including the two I knew.  I think the newer stuff sounded better if perhaps not as bouncy.  The hi-light of the evening for me was their impression of Oasis.  It was so incredibly funny.  Fishermans Pie was the 'song'.  Apparently they won't be releasing it  Grin

They are playing some place called Barries on Tuesday week, I would recommend it as a very fun show. I cannot guarantee they will sing 'Fishermans Pie' again though.

When you said "Fisherman's Pie" on Facebook, I thought you meant fisherman's pie, which is why I Liked it.

despite Dame and others shouting for it - no
they didn't play a lot of old songs, but speaking to them afterwards they seemed to be so bored of the old songs that I could quite understand, they seemed amused tho, I think Grassman is their Grendel

I won't bother with them then - I'm sure I'd enjoy their set, but if they aren't going to play the one song I'd really want to hear, I shan't put myself through the disappointment.
