I think a lot depends on what they do next, after all the nostalgia stuff, of course.

It's going to be interesting...

I think the whole nostalgia thing worked to their advantage - allowing the new lineup to build up plenty of classic material live. The other option might have been to go straight to working on new material and run the risk of losing old fans because the lineup isn't prepared to play what they want to hear. From the sounds of it, there *is* new material being worked on, it's just not being played live yet - I can wait!  Cool

At least there is new stuff.  They're not like Twelfth Night, for example.

Bad Elephant Music - you know it makes sense.

Filkie should terrific - he was great singing with Lee Abraham, and I suspect that the band he'll have for this will comprise many of the same people (they worked with him on War & Peace...).

I'm intending to be there for both days. Hopefully there won't be an over-18s only policy, because it would be nice if we could all be there. Yvette was a big IQ fan, back in the day, and she hasn't seen them since 1985 or something. Also, she's never seen Tinyfish.

I dunno - the 3 before that we're pretty good too...

This festival seems to be shaping up brilliantly. My only concern is when the curry slots will be...

Hmmm - simply don't know about this - of course I would LOVE to be there, but cannot book anything until there is a little more certainty - might have to miss out on the early bird price, but will try really hard to be there.

I'm now investigating alternative accomodation possibilities, so the full weekend may be possible.
Personally, I haven't seen IQ since 198? (before 1985 anyway), so they will be interesting.

So did I. Outstanding in places. Since then they've got rid of 3/5ths of the band of course.

Vox, guitar and drums are the same, Tim's back on bass and Neil does keyboards. And they're all really good and lovely.

Bass had been the same for ages, before going back to the original. The only real change has been with keyboards. I don't think they have had a very good reason to drag out the nostalgia-fest.

Still a step up from Twelfth Night, though.

I like the first album, but Rituial is unlistenable.
