If Twang is 'unsung' then some people have not been looking for the past couple of years...

I think we can all agree that we are so very lucky indeed to have someone like Twang actively promoting and supporting all kinds of music below the commercial radar, purely for the love of doing it and ever taking risks to take it to the next level. We are even more lucky that that someone is actually Twang himself, who is the best dude in the world.  Smiley

Twang’s post pleases me immensely. There are few people out there willing to put so much time and effort into creating debut events of this nature and when you find people who can walk the walk as well as talk the talk, we as lovers of the music should get behind them and show our support by being there in person (as has been the case with Celebr8 and indeed SE over the years)

John and his team have tapped into a growing trend in the Prog world which is moving away from individual shows and focusing much more upon day and weekend events.

In a lot of ways, London does have an advantage over other areas simply down to transport links an amenities but it’s not impossible to do it elsewhere as the many CRS and Summers End shows have proven. That said, I still believe that the day of the individual or dual headline show is not yet over. Twang has a real chance of getting his foot in the door to convince the big players that there is a genuine market for progressive rock in the UK which thus far, has gone largely untapped.

The trick its to draw out the undecideds who lurk about at home and convince them that there is good reason to step outside their doors and discover a hidden world of incredible music and talent.

Everything has its day in the sun and like The Peel, I think HOP is transforming itself into something very different. I say more power to you John; we’re all behind you.   Cool
