Back into the swing of exercise and I've been making sure to do an hour of something every day so far in July, whether it be planks and weights at the gym, a bit of interval running or just a brisk walk.

So far in the last month I seem to have lost half a stone which I'm fairly pleased about although this is largely due to the after effects of my trip to India in May (yes, still...)

Hang on, the Cleveland Way? Did you go through (or rather, up) Skelton? You would've passed by my old back garden.  Smiley

Good for you, Bert. I've been doing it for 2 months now and am 12lb down, which I'm pretty chuffed about. Frustratingly, I've been unable to exercise because of a poorly big toe - I reckon I'd have shifted a bit more lard if I'd been able to walk around more.

Best of luck with it!

Ah, so you're heading in the direction of Saltburn? The path through the woods from Skelton to Saltburn is really very nice, and you pass under a big viaduct which is rather impressive. I'll warn you, though - it's uphill in both directions.

Saltburn will be a pleasant reward after all that. It's got a very nice beach and an extensive pier. I recommend a meal in The Ship Inn if you feel so inclined. Dare you to have a parmo.  Wink
