Hello all,

Well since I'm still pretty busy, and Wilf is off on his first day of his new job (congrats!), I suggest we have a week off this week.

Maybe in the meantime we can go back and catch up on some which we missed previously (assuming some of them are still cached on Wilf's server...!)

wise move - I still haven't listened to Semisonic yet - and everyone's comments lead me to believe I might like it a lot.

I think the last one I actually managed to listen to at the time was the Talk Talk album.

I've only got the last two on the server - it's a bit more space-limited than it used to be. If anyone wants to hear the old ones, best thing is let me know and I'll sort something out.

A week off seems like a grand idea!

jolly good, I still have to do Wishbone & Semisonic
I know that I will like Semisonic, (love their hits and Dame probably has this album) I am just psyching myself up for Wishbone!

Iíve been giving ĎA Week Offí a long hard listen and these are my first impressions;

Like many of you out there, itís been a while since Iíve encountered A Week Off. When I was younger (so much younger than today), I could easily go without A Week Off (much preferring A Night Off) but the older I get, the more I am beginning to appreciate, nay crave, what A Week Off can provide both to my body and my soul.

Itís strange that the simple act of growing older can changes ones attitudes so much but as nothing really ever stays static for long, maybe itís no surprise that my tastes have quietly but profoundly changed over the years. If things carry on like this, I might be in mortal danger of enjoying Opera or even Golf.

Iím not going to lie to you; I love A Week Off with a passion now, so much so that sooner or later, I might end up enjoying Two Weeks Off. My Dad says that he loves A Year Off but Iím not sure Iím ready for that yet.

Maybe others out there have loved A Week Off from day one so Iíd be interested to hear what other people think. I donít believe I am alone in slowly acquiring a taste for it.

I tried the EP Two Days Off at the end of last week and only managed to make it to Thursday Lunchtime.  I have to admit to a great sense of disappointment because I was hoping for something far better, and, to be perfectly honest, it has made me realise that I am not in the right place to even attempt A Week Off just yet.

My eyesight is not what it was. It's best I don't make what I initially read that as explicit.

This week I too am trying the Two Days Off EP which was preceded by the EP 3 Day Week.  I must say I'm quite enjoying 3 day week being half way through it, I really am looking forward to Two Days Off followed by that other EP I Don't Work Weekends Smiley

I've ordered my copy of the 3 Day Week EP but they don't think they can deliver till the week after next. But they're throwing in a free 4 track sampler called Bank Holiday's to make up for it.
