New York Giants - from before they started showing games on Ch4, but I don't know why. Probably from a mention in the distant past on the annual World of Sport / Grandstand NFL report.
They've always had a few good players, but being (almost) in New York, the press and fan pressure means they always seem to be on the verge of blowing up, one way or another.

I support the Miami Dolphins because the first player I saw any film of was Dan Marino.  I have some American friends of the family to thank for introducing me to the game before Channel 4 really took it on.

Will no one admit to supporting the Jags?

Isn't John Prescott on their team?

I support the Patriots, as I'm sure everyone knows by now. Originally, it was because they were the team my best mate supported, so it was the logical choice. Now I've really gotten into the sport, I have a lot of admiration for the way the Pats play the game and all other aspects of that team just feels right to me. So, there we are.

As long as no-one here likes the Jets...  Wink

Or the Dolphins.  A true New Englander hates - the LA Lakers, the Montreal Canadiens, the New York Y*nk**s and the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins are total sh*t on Madden 12. They always call up the f*cking Wildcat when it's most useless - which is always.

Just spotted that the Giants beat (really beat) the Jets in last weekend's pre-season game. Bet that went down well.

As an extra to how your team was chosen. I support the giants, but in the past I always watched out for any team where Jerry Glanville was head coach. Any coach that always left a game ticket for Elvis Presley at every game was always interesting. Is Jerry still doing any TV work?

Quote
On March 21, 2011, the Hartford Colonials of the United Football League announced that Glanville would serve as the team's head coach and general manager.[2] The Colonials suspended operations in August of that year; Glanville would remain with the league as a consultant, color commentator for the league's television broadcasts, and liaison for potential expansion markets.

That's the most recent info I can find on him taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerry_Glanville#United_Football_League
