St. Louis Rams back out of London games in 2013 and 2014

The Rams were scheduled to host the annual NFL game in London for three years, starting this season. They have backed out today.  Looks like the Jaguars could be ready to pounce on the now open dates.

Well, if London turns out for them, there is a chance that they might play more of their games in London each year - say about 8.

Dolphins release Chad Johnson (Ochocinco) http://espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp12/story/_/id/8265496/joe-philbin-says-chad-johnson-fit-miami-dolphins

And it was because he didn't fit the team and had nothing to do with his arrest for head butting his wife honest Cheesy

I think you're slightly misinterpreting Coach Philbin there, Mike.  I believe what he is saying is that it was not only the arrest - he had already had words with him about coming into a team meeting to which he was not invited, and about swearing during an interview.  The indications were that they were getting fed up with him even before the arrest, and that the decision to let him go was made by Coach Philbin and not by management or owners above him.

Your right James I think he was on his way out anyway and obviously his arrest didn't help his cause

There may be some QB excuses in this weekend's pre-season games. The NFL are looking to use this week to trial balls with synthetic laces, and some of the top QBs are already muttering about cuts and changed flight of the balls.

Hang on, Johnson is Ochocinco? What's with the multiple names?

Back when he joined the Pats last year, he seemed to have a bigger mouth than talent. Now it looks like he's an utter toss wunt in his personal life, too.

...Maybe he should join the Jets...  Grin

He changed his name to match his number, and now changed it back.

Shame he wasn't No. 55 - he could've been called A55hole.

Jacksonville struggle to get a crowd so this will be good.  Perhaps it will persuade people of Jacksonville to support their team in case they decide to play all of their games in London.

I wonder how people of the UK choose to support particular teams.  (For me it is because I lived in Massachusetts, so I followed the Pats when they were 1 and 15 back in the nineties.)  I can't see there being much appeal for Jacksonville - it could easily be a case of we'll support whoever they play.

I chose the 49ers as when I started watching American Football they were the team I saw most often this would have been towards the end of the Montana era from about 1987-88 on I think that's the first Superbowl I remember watching

I think I support the Dallas Cowboys, just because they were on the opening credits of Dallas.

I don't really pay much attention though. It's like saying my speedway team is Poole Pirates.
