There are some Scrumptious gigs on here http://www.houseofprogression.webeden.co.uk/

Of course I could list them but I'd rather you take a look.  Wink

Now you lot keep this quiet. I'm working on a possible H.O.P. Christmas Party. And there are 3 2014 shows being worked on. One is a show with The Aristocrats, can't say anything about the others or it will upset the Apple cart and nobody needs bruised apples.

So check the website out. It's tough out there you know.

Are they written in black on a black background by any chance?  I'll have to try from my laptop rather than the company one.

I would have gone to that except I'm away.

Tir na nÓg were good enough last night.  So were the support band all things considered.  But it was mighty warm in there.  Thankfully only about 30 people turned up.  I got talking to the guy who runs it and now have an e-mail address.  Next up is a Blues band.

The venue would be just right for a support slot for a singer/ songwriter.

Tir na nÓg are heading to Hull on Tuesday.

I was at Riffs last evening to see The Doctors, who include a couple of ex-The Fold members (if anybody remembers them from a decade plus ago). It was good to see Riffs quite busy, but they'd slotted an extra band into the evening so I left before The Doctors came on stage.
Good opening act though, Ethemia, an acoustic duo. Their between-song banter may have been cringeworthy, but some of the songs were excellent. And speaking to them afterwards it was nice to find two very bouncy, keen and positive people (I just hope it lasts).

Crikey, they're playing the Adelphi. That's all the info I can find. No ticket links, prices, start times. A proper Adelphi gig, then.  Cheesy  I might have to pop along to that, could be interesting.

For those not in the know, the Adelphi is basically someone's front room with a bar in it, knocked through into the house next door where the stage is. Many bands have played there on their way up, including The La's, Manic Street Preachers, etc. It's very f*cking LOUD (expletive required to express just how LOUD it is).
