I don't think so. The footage in the video of the dead one was from a few years back, I think, where a fishing vessel accidentally hooked one. It died in the struggle to free itself (and the crew to free it), but the body was preserved for an autopsy. That one was also a younger specimen, if I recall correctly.
There was a programme about that on Channel 4, which was fascinating. The brain of a giant squid is a sort of hoop that fits around the creature's faecal sack. So it almost has sh*t for brains.
And about the size - these are only giant squid. The colossal squid, which people reckon live somewhere in deep Antarctic waters, is the real biggie. They filmed one of those a few years back, too - it was almost as big as the ship that encountered it.
