UPF unable to play CRS gig - Jeff Green Project to headline

Hi All

We are writing to announce a change to the advertised billing in Saturday's gig at the Wesley Centre, Maltby.  Unfortunately due to problems with the Australian members of the band getting back into the UK after the European leg of the tour, The United Progressive Fraternity are not now able to  play the gig.  After some consideration, we have decided to go ahead with The Jeff Green Project headlining.  Support will come from Andy Tillison and the Dreaming Tree.  Thanks to both for stepping into the breach at very short notice! We apologise for this late change which is, of course, way beyond our control.  Ticket holders will be emailed individually and refunds will be available, but we do hope you will still support this gig if you can.

Doors will revert to our "usual" time of 7pm and timings should look something like this:

7pm Doors
7.40 – 8.30 The Dreaming Tree
8.45 – 9.25  Andy Tillison
9.40 – 11.  Jeff Green Band

Here's that UPF statement in full:

"A very important message to those planning on attending the forthcoming UK dates
We regret to inform you that we will be unable to the play the three remaining shows in the U.K. and Scotland.
Yesterday, the three Australians citizens in the band were detained for almost 6 hours and questioned about the details of their proposed U.K. performances.
The guys were very close to being held overnight in Calais, but we were able to get them into the U.K due the quick witted and eloquent persuasion of Guy Manning. Sadly, the outcome is that the three Australians are unable to perform in the U.K. legally and consequently, we cannot complete the tour.
We are devastated that it has come to this and are deeply sorry to be announcing this statement.
Please apply for ticket refunds from the agency from which you purchased them. see above
UPF will be back in the U.K on a larger scale very soon!
On behalf of every member of the band, we are so sorry to not be meeting you this trip, but these were circumstances beyond our control and we are deeply saddened that we cannot perform for you.
Please pass this info along for us - thanks."

I was going to see the show in Balham.  Fortunately I found out it was cancelled before I set off.  A shame that as it could be a long time before they can do another show.
