So ... Summer's End 2014, then

We are very pleased to announce that, after much searching, investigation and negotiation, the tenth Summer's End Festival - SE X - will take place in the Palmer Community Centre, Chepstow. The dates will be as previously announced - September 26, 27 and 28th.

We have not been idle during this protracted period of apparent inactivity: we have actually nearly completed booking the festival line-up. And it is good. Really good. We think you'll be pleased.

Watch this space - more to come this Sunday ...

Hmm - Chepstow, that's not too far to drive for a day if any of them particularly take our fancy - sadly we won't be able to do the whole weekend this year, but it'd be a shame to completely miss out.

Chepstow is just within range to commute.
Now all we need is the line-up (and the address of a good curry house).

There were plenty on booking.com.  I picked one in the middle of Chepstow.  I've been to Chepstow recently and I rather like the place; it's got a castle for example.

I have booked a hotel in Chepstow - too! I picked the Beaufort Hotel since it seemed fine and is (probably) the nearest to the venue...

I ended up booking at the Two Rivers Lodge. It was one of the cheaper ones and it's probably about half a mile away from the venue.

First Hurdle here, because it was refundable and I don't know if George is coming or not so I can downgrade to single use without losing money Smiley

This looks like an excellent line up to me.  Potentially it is the best ever SE line up for me.

UPF is the remnants of Unitopia with some UK musicians including a certain Mr. Guy Manning.

I'm pleased to see Frequency drift as they were the one band from the Progressive Promotions Festival that I wanted to see.

Also, Lambsie said that there was a possibility of an acoustic stage.  If so, I'm putting in a request right now for Matt Stevens and Chris Fry.
