Oh or Chris Fry and his brother, I love that classic-ish thing they do - would work great with a Stevens-esque twist!

It's not like he can busk from the top step of the monument this year. OK, he can but none of us will be there to see him.

I have booked a cute top rated B&B but they only had a double left.  To be honest I didn't look at any other options. I probably could have found a single and or somewhere nearer and or cheaper but as the rooms were running out I just thought sod it, that will do.

Well, we promised an announcement and here it is. We are delighted to reveal the fabulous selection of bands already confirmed for SE X. There are still one or two bands and a number of acoustic acts to be named, so watch this space.

We are thrilled to welcome ...

Curved Air (UK)
RPWL (DE)
The United Progressive Fraternity (AUS/UK)
Lifesigns (UK)
DeeExpus (UK)
Tin Spirits (UK)
Frequency Drift (DE)
Verbal Delirium (GR)
Argos (DE)
Colourflow (UK)
Kingbathmat (UK)

Touchstone got missed off the list.  There is one more band "near the top" apparently.

Waiting for day tickets as we can't come on the Saturday, but it's not far for us so we will definitely try to make it for either the Friday or Sunday.

I have my ticket.  I hope that RPWL put on their "Wanted" show as it is rather good.

I'm not a RPWL fan, but the review of their gig on DPRP did make it sound good.

Ticket booked.

You know, I'd completely forgotten about the calendar that I'd apparently paid for as part of last year's ticket until the website reminded me.

I should probably get in training for it this year. For the sake of my feet.

Here's my announcement with all the bells and whistles....

Summers End 2014 Venue, tickets and line up

We are thrilled to announce, at last, that the 10th anniversary edition of the Summers End Festival (SE  X)will take place from September 26-28 at our new home: The Palmer Community Centre, Chepstow.

The venue is the only change – the festival will maintain the warm, friendly vibe that has made it the UK’s best loved Prog Festival.

Hero, Sponsor and weekend tickets are already on sale at www.summersend.co.uk and with a line up like we have below, are already selling very quickly.  Some accommodation details are available on the website, with more to follow.  An acoustic stage is also likely this year, and we will put on the Festival Ferry service if there is sufficient demand.  Day tickets will go on sale in June.

With one or two main stage acts still to announce, here’s the line up:

Curved Air (UK)
RPWL (DE)
The United Progressive Fraternity (AUS/UK)
Lifesigns (UK)
Touchstone (UK)
DeeExpus (UK)
Tin Spirits (UK)
Frequency Drift (DE)
Verbal Delirium (GR)
Argos (DE)
Colourflow (UK)
Kingbathmat (UK)

Further details, ticket sales and slight sexual innuendo at www.summersend.co.uk
