I'll send a PM giving you details - either later tonight or tomorrow.  Whatever, there is space for you.

Rumours of a "special" guest abound on the Magenta thread.

I think that I'd better stop accepting people to this now before it feels like It Bites at the Peel.

Thanks Nellie.  I am now as ready as I can be.  The room is completely devoid of furniture.  It's ever so echo-ey.

Well, I must admit to being relieved that it all went off so well.  I think that we got the numbers just about right - that was everyone's biggest concern.  It was clearly worrying the band because the first thing they said when they got here was that it was really big.  Then everyone was milling around in the garden and I got panicey again.  But it was great.

So, we sat down on the floor (where else), or stood up at the back and they started with "Children of the Sun".  It was the first time that I have really watched Rob play - I always seem to be too far away - and his playing was awesome.  "Moving On" was finished with a killer solo from Chris Fry.  The first half had a number of songs from "Home", finishing with "Journey's End".  We also heard a song from Christina's album which is due out in October.

Then we had a break when the audience had cake & biscuits.

The second half started with two of my personal favourites - "King of Skies" & "I'm Alive".  They did parts of all of "Metemorphosis" - quite a challenge to do ANY of these with just an accoustic guitar and a keyboard.  The show was finished with "Wonderous Strories" to rapturous applause.

Thanks to Rob, Sarah, Matt & James for coming along and making this such a memorable afternoon.  (And the band of course, but they are not on this forum.)

Now, I have to shift a few more pieces of furniture.
