I've been longing to buy Astra's album The Weirding for a good while now. I thought I'd check HMV just to see if they had it, but said to my friend that there was a 99% chance they wouldn't have it as it's so obscure and underground. Well, they had it. In the wrong section and just sitting on a shelf, but they had it. And now I finally have it.  Smiley

Coincidence is strange. It's a bit too convenient sometimes...

I rather like the Astra album, in a laid back ponk-fliydy way.  After about the fifth track, it can sound a little samey.  They are doing a gig in London in a couple of months - I'll think about it.

There is no such thing as coincidence - just the impression of coincidence. The human mind's capacity for seeing patterns where none exist is astonishing. Still, glad you found the album you were looking for Mouse!

A life lived without "coincidence" would be statistically remarkable.

I found the "biography" of Dick Dastardly and found out that his middle name is "Milhous" :-)

What a weekend. Friday night saw Henry Rollins doing his spoken word thing 2.5 hours straight barely pausing for breath. Sunday night was Billy Connolly at Hammy O - he did 2.75 hours straight and just as rant-fuelled as rollins.

I feel strangely calm today.

My favourite joke from Mr Connolly was all about a terrrible word.

Two guys arguing on the street in Glasgow. The first says "You're a C, You've always been a C, You probably always will be a C, in fact if they had a competition to find the world's biggest C they'd give you second prize" so the other guy says "Why wouldn't they give me first prize" to which the first guy replies "because you're a C!"
