Lots to smile about in the last week or so.

Spent a couple of days photographing the British National Championship cycling, last year I went to Glasgow for it this year it was a little closer to home with the Time Trial in the Celtic Manor Resort just outside Newport and the Road races started and finished in Abergavenny.

While at the Celtic Manor I got to meet Sir Bradley Wiggins and he signed a print of this photo I took at The Tour of Britain last year on a stage he won.

At the road races I managed to photos signed by Olympic Gold medal winners Laura Trott and Joanna Rowsell as well as their team mates Elinor Barker and Amy Roberts who are both Welsh.  I also got a photo signed by David Millar who is retiring at the end of this season.

After the Road race on the Sunday David Millar tweeted he couldn't sleep as he was worried about his place in the Tour De France, I only saw the tweet as I to couldn't sleep so had started editing photos so I tweeted him a photo  I took of him in the Time Trial on Thursday and it ended up getting over 4000 views on twitter Shocked

I thanked Jo Rowsell MBE on twitter for signing my photo and tweeted her a couple of photos from the Time Trial and she replied saying "That's definitely the best I've seen far for capturing the moment!"

I also got good feedback from the race organisers and the Celtic Manor on twitter. You can see the collection of photos HERE

Last night I went to see The Devin Townsend Project play at Nottingham Rock City, I watched from the front right on the barrier and thoroughly enjoyed it \m/  Cool

Jo Rowsell also shared my photo on her instagram page saying:

"Photo from Mike Evans of Thursday's time trial in Wales. Really capturing the true esscence of the situation!"

That's very cool, Rog. It's nice that you're available and close enough to make that happen. When Kim comes to Orlando, shall I bring your photo?  Grin
