Watching Joe Bonamassa play the best Blues ever on Saturday (albeit from behind the three tallest men in the world - and I was at the front of the crowd  Roll Eyes ) made me smile a lot. The encore medley of India/Mountain Time actually made me cry, which is a first for a live gig. Then I got one of his plectrums, which made me extremely happy!  Grin

Today Charlie Brooker made me smile. No, he made me laugh - uncontrolably for about 10 minutes until I thought I was going to wet myself. Declaring that there's something fundamentally not quite right about Torchwood, he went on to describe it thus:

"A blend of Children's TV with adult themes. Kind of like Chucklevision with cumshots"

I'm still giggling while trying to type that!  Grin

I spent yesterday afternoon as part of the audience on Top Gear - Jeremy, James and Richard made me smile, in fact I had tears of laughter flowing down on to my new shirt for 3 hours - 99% of the reason for the laughter was unbroadcastable(is that a word?). The Star in a Reasonably Priced Car was Sienna Miller, now that made me smile a lot (Julie, my wife was with me, but could not see how big the smile was, especially when she brushed past me -  Sienna that is, not my wife).
It is broadcast this Sunday, but as I was wearing a striped shirt I had to keep mostly out of camera shot as I appeared as a great big strobe effect on screen.
Great programme, great hosts - piccies and autographs given.

Charlie Brooker usually makes me laugh lots and lots, but when I try and explain it to people they just look at me.

Search his columns for "anhedonia" for example.

It's his descriptions that are the best. Jilly Goolden (the wine expert) described as "plum-gobbed ghost train skeleton" got me.
