Was it just Chris, Rick and I, or does Alan Reed look like Richard Hammond?

Might get a Glasgow Kiss...

My mate Bryan was standing near the bar during Pallas' set, and said that during one of the instrumentals there was this blur of white satin, and Mr. Reed rushes up saying "gimme a can of lager". All the punters there are saying "just a minute, aren't you supposed to be on stage?". "Nah", says Mr. Hammond/Carson, "it's an instrumental bit, it goes on for ages".

I saw Alan Reed on the tube once (dunno what the hell he was doing in London), years and years ago. Being the brash young blade that I was back then I said "hey, aren't you Alan Reed from Pallas?", and got an immediate response of "I didn't do it, Detective Inspector". Very nice guy.

He is a top bloke. As for the reason as to why you saw him in London, I think he works down here for the Beeb.

I got a completely random text from someone called Jim at 5.53 am on Tuesday morning. That did not make me smile. It woke me up!  Angry

What's currently making me smile is the smell of bacon wafting up the stairs - working from home occasionally has many benefits, most of them nothing to do with the work itself Smiley

Bacon butties; now THERE is a food for kings and queens. In fact now you mention it, I think I shall eschew my usual saturday morning boiled egg and soliders and plump for a round or two of Wiltshire's finest rashers with a huge mug of tea!

Bliss!
