What a night though it's one of seven...

They're still going, aren't they?

I think they went away for a bit but have recently reformed. I couldn't guess at the line up now however.

It appears that Tony Clarkin is sans chapeau (and sans cheveux, for that matter) these days. Still sporting a very impressive beard, I'm pleased to see. Bob Catley's still there, by the looks of it, shouting a lot and waving his hand around in an odd fashion.

They also appear to be in the middle of what is, by today's standards, an enormous tour.

Bless their little hearts. I remember Jim introducing me to Magnum way back in the 80's with Chase The Dragon. The Spirit and Soldier Of The Line really rocked my socks off at the time...

...I have put my socks back on since then.

In the meantime I'm off to see A-ha at the O2 tonight and Magnum on Friday.

Give my regards to Pål, Magne and Morten.

Gosh that will be a concert full of ladies of my age, wouldn't want to have to queue for the ladies at that one!

Had a Magnum Sandwich on hols in Madeira last week - rather nice it was.
No, there was no bread involved.
Oooo. Can you get 'em in the UK? Never seen one of those before...
Sadly not, the "Maxibon" is the closest thing.

It is called "båtis" = boat ice-cream

Yummy.

Correct posts on many scores

Yes it's Bob Catley's semaphore I'm off to see tomorrow night, and yes the queue for the ladies at A-ha was frightening. Fortunately I left Mme Cholet to deal with that.

Morten can still belt it out - a great bunch of hits from the early days (Sun Always Shines on TV to start and Take on Me to finish) and got another Bond theme under my belt.

A couple of the new songs were really good too.

Feeling very full up after the monthly 'prog curry', when Chris and I go to JD Wetherspoons, get a 'Feast For Two' with extra onion bhajees, and talk not a single word of sense all evening. Heart-warming stuff, and if you have the Madras - Chris always does - you must get some toilet paper in the fridge pretty damn quick.

I think that Prog and Curry go together like cheese and a fine wine.  Wink
