Day off work, partly to use up holidays, partly to get an early start to a motorcycle rally.
And yes, I believe the rock covers band as this evening's musical 'entertainment' has been guaranteed.

I quickly nipped into town to collect newspapers etc, on a motorcycle I haven't been able to ride recently. Six mile trip without pain from the knee. Smile? Definitely.

I've never talked to Rob Reed before tonight and he approached me just before Magenta took the stage and said "Are you the legendary Mike Evans?"

My new Filofax has made me happy for so many reasons:
  • It's purple and green. I didn't even know they made them in my favourite awful colour combination!
  • It's slightly bigger than my old one.
  • It has a special section for timetables - which I need for that Uni thing I do.
  • It was 12 - a nearly-identical one on Amazon was 39.
  • It has a mid-year diary FOR THIS YEAR. I was sure that it was cheap because the diary was out of date.
  • It has a snappy-button rather than an elastic closure - because the elastic is going on my old one and was sarting to annoy me.
  • It has TWO pen-loops! Two! I can carry two pens!

In conclusion, boys smell so I am going to marry my new filofax.
