Generally, if you spend a lot of money on a good made-to-measure suit, it looks a lot better than an off-the-peg number as most people are not an off-the-peg standard size and shape. I bet Kevin McCloud doesn't buy his suits from Burton's or Top Man or M & S.
Kevin McCloud is a design deity and as such wafts his suits into being with a wave of his magnificent Grand Designs hand. And a smirk, obviously. There can be only one... How on earth did they manage to build that house Kev? I dunno. It's a kind of magic.

Strange; that's exactly how I feel about suits as well.
I also have a question for any sartorial gent out there. How come suits always look sophisticated on people like Kevin McCloud but when your average bod in the streets wears the same outfit, it looks as if they are some kind of dishevelled, out of work game keeper.
...I say average bod in the street but I think we all understand that the dishevelled, out of work game keeper in question is yours truly.
I look a complete tosser in a suit. But then, I look a complete tosser in anything.

The bloke who played him in the films used to drink in my Dad's old pub. I rather like my 'Blues jacket' I've worn to both Peel gigs, even if one of the inside pockets was destroyed after one day of use. I'd just like to say that Ian Anderson's flute solo on the new 'Tull DVD/CD Live At Madison Square Garden 1978 made me smile. Supoib.

Magenta at #2 in the amazon.co.uk Rock album download chart. Just below the Foo Fighters. Above Fleetwood Mac, Duran Duran, Kasabian, Kings of Leon...

Smiling because I've finally finished playlisting the birthday show. Forty-one albums, and a track from each. I haven't yet stuck them all into an iTunes playlist to see how long it's going to be, but I think the answer is going to be "long".
I'm really looking forward to making this one, and I hope that y'all enjoy hearing it.

Benoit is a great replacement for the real singer in Yes. Or at least he was last night. Obviously as he's from a tribute band there are aspects of his performance that are a bit Anderson copycat, but his singing was spot on.
It's a bit weird to start with, but by the middle fo the first song I'd forgotten about all the singer shennannigans, and it didn't cross my mind more than a couple of times throughout the entire 2.5 hour show.
And Oliver Wakeman is outstanding.

Glad it was a good show UB. Wasn't the Hammy Odeon the scene of some unpleasantness towards Trevor Horn on the Drama tour?

Some of the more unsavoury elements of the prognoscenti gave poor Trevor a very hard time throughout that tour, which was a shame, as I thought he was pretty good. He was struggling with some of the high notes on And You And I, but otherwise he sang his heart out. Drama is much under-rated album, in my opinion.
