I'm currently recording this weekend's EP, and all this Hammond organ-based early seventies stuff is making me smile bigtime, like this :

I don't think this is the right thread but it probably made the recipient smile

I went up to some bloke with a beard tonight and said

"you're amazing"

he went "eh?"

" you Wilf?"

"no - must be mistaking me for somebody else"

The Woolworths in Wokingham which closed down a while back has reopened as "Allworths".  I went in there out of curiousity yesterday.  It has rows of sweets, CDs from artists who went out of fashion at the turn of the century, plastic toys which you can see will break within 5 minutes of playing with them, and clothes that oxfam would turn their nose up at.  Yes, indeedy, the same crap that noone wanted when Woolworths was selling it.

Seeing Joe Bonamassa on Thursday made me smile. Meeting him after the gig made me smile even more. A wonderful way to round off the gigging year.  Grin

I shall have to post some photos soon.

I miss Woolworths.   Sad
It was the only shop in the Stratford shopping arcade that was worth bothering with. Mind, now that they're building a new big Westfield-style centre out the back, near the Olympic park, I suspect that Stratford centre will more or less disappear.

Come 2012 I think we may go on holiday for the duration, and let our house to the entire Korean gymnastics squad. It's a two-up, two-down, so they should be able to fit them all in just fine.
