BBC iPlayer on the Wii - no more watching BBC4 repeats on the computer! And it's completely free...absolutely spiffing, and indeed Spoffing...

Well done indeed to Ashleaze! My new guitar made me smile. A lot. In fact, when I first saw it I went "Phwooooaaaar!" and I expect the reaction will be the same when I plug it in in a few moments.  Grin

Could be worse. Could be an air banjo...

I have one of those signed by Steve Rothery on the last (somewhat tipsy) evening of the 2007 Marillion Convention.

The New Orleans Saints coming back in the way they did made me smile, and in fact the whole game made me smile because it turned out to be a very good one.

Being in work this morning is not making me smile, and nor is the snow being back again  Angry

I very much like the odd American football game but it sometimes feels like a rugby game directed by Michael Bay with costumes courtesy of DC comics.

Same here enjoyed the game but going to bed at 2:45am and getting up at 6:25am is not doing me any favours this morning

After 4 years in Boston, I have had my fill of "football".  I would refute any similarities between that and rugby though.  Rugby players can tackle - those "footballers" just throw themselves at the player with the ball (or anyone, really) and hope.

It's an interesting point, because I think if any team brought in a tackling coach they would instantly upgrade their defence.  There are some good tacklers in there, but mostly it is hit and hope.

Equally, though, there are some terrible tacklers in rugby - Ronan O'Gara springs to mind.
