what made me blue? Watching Doctor Who this evening :-(

Russell Davies went so far beyond jumping the shark as to leave us all in shock.

Doctor Victorious!?

I actually liked the dilemma part of it. Off course the monsters were a bit diluted, but it made me look forward to Xmas.

I see what you did there. :-)

The dilemma was the most interesting part. But the impact of it got lost in all the other stuff. In contrast to the dilemma in the Pompeii episode where it really hit home.

That whirring sound you can hear is Barry Letts revolving in his grave. I shall watch the two episodes at Christmas, but I'm not hopeful, based on this. The one with the flying bus was just lazy, but this was actually rubbish.

Wouldn't it be great if The Doctor became evil and The Master became the good guy... Grin

Tomorrow I shall be heading off to buy a used car. Not a heart-warming thought. As all the franchise dealers I have contacted seem to be frightful oiks I'm following a friend's advice and heading for CarGiant in White City. Opinions of this place seem to vary wildly, but they've got a lot of cars in my price range, and you do see a lot of vehicles on the road with their stickers in, so they must provide at least some serviceable vehicles.

Being a complete imbecile when it comes to anything mechanical the very prospect scares the living daylights out of me. I have read the 'What Car?' guides to buying a used car over and over, so let's just hope I can follow their advice when I'm there floundering around getting incresingly worried about it.

With any luck, tomorrow evening I shall be posting to the "What made you smile?" thread with some more edifying thoughts Smiley

Here is my take on it.

The doctor is currently split in 3, The Timelord Victorious (TV), The human doctor (HD) in that other dimension and Dr. Donna.

TV is lonely and brings back the Master for company. The Ood bring back Dr Donna and HD. Joined by Rose, Martha, Sarah Jane and K9 they battle the Master and TV. They are most triumphant but TV is injured beyond regeneration but the Ood sings a song TV and HD are reformed into one being, they then perform a mindmeld with Dr. Donna and the Doctor is able to regenerate.

All in HD TV.

Happy Christmas.

...but the Ood sings a song...
I'm good with this analysis, Bo. But which song? Possibilities as follows:

1. UFO - Doctor, Doctor
2. 10CC - Oh Donna
3. All About Eve - Martha's Harbour
4. Michael Jackson - Billie (Piper) Jean
5. Anthony Phillips - Master Of Time
6. Phil Lynott - Sara (Jane)

...okay, I shall stop now...
